Chinbo Chong, PhD

Senior Analyst

Chinbo is a senior researcher with 10 years of experience in public opinion research. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and is currently an assistant professor of Political Science and Cultures, Societies and Global Studies at Northeastern University. She teaches courses on Race and Ethnic Politics in the United States, Asian American Politics, and Research Methods.

Chinbo has extensive training in quantitative analysis, and her research has appeared in the Journal of Race, Ethnicity, Politics, Political Behavior, PS: Political Science & Politics, and A Companion to Korean American Studies. At BSP, Chinbo works with staff and client on projects related to Asian American populations. She has experience conducting multilingual survey research.

Chinbo lived in Seoul, Alaska, Kansas, and Washington, and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley and Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She also received additional training as a predoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics at Princeton University, and at the Center for Research in Race and Ethnicity in Society at Indiana University, Bloomington.
