Angie is an expert on polling, focus groups, precinct-level Latino voter turnout, and data analytics. She has worked on projects for Unidos, Univision, NALEO, and the Democratic National Committee among others. During the 2020 election, she helped manage Latino voter messaging research for the Biden presidential campaign. In 2019, Angie co-authored a report for the Bipartisan Policy Center predicting the growing Latino vote in Arizona would flip the state to Democrats and be a linchpin state to the overall 2020 outcome. She has expertise in quantitative and statistical analysis and has published analyses of Latino voting in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections in the leading social science journals. She has also developed qualitative writing scripts and reports for focus groups and has conducted randomized field experiments to analyze the effectiveness of a healthcare company’s voter engagement program.

Angie is assistant professor in Mexican American and Latina/o Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California Los Angeles, where she specialized in Latino voting behavior and American politics.
